Safaricom to return airtime spent. What is the catch?

Telco giant, Safaricom said on Saturday that it will refund all airtime spent on Mashujaa Day.

"We probably don’t tell you this enough but you are our shujaas. Today as we celebrate our heroes, we salute you! Whatever airtime you use today will be given back to you tomorrow," the company said in a tweet.

On Mashujaa Day, Kenyans celebrate heroes and heroines who are altruistic.
Those who fought for our independence during colonial era as well as those who continue to express selfless deeds are remembered.

The new Mashujaa Day 'treat' by the company means all airtime usage by Safaricom subscribers be it on voice, data or SMS will be reimbursed.

Its clients can now have a reason to smile as we celebrate heroes and heroines of this wonderful country.

The deal seems good, but what's the catch?

Well, the refunded airtime is valid within 24 hours after reimbursement!
