Fury as DP Ruto office seek to hire more choppers

The office of DP Ruto is seeking to hire a chopper and a fixed-wing aircraft despite claims that Mr. Ruto owns a fleet of helicopters.

“Interested service providers who are registered in relevant trades and categories (proof of registration required) may obtain Tender Documents from Harambee House Annex 1st Floor,

room 1B12/13, in person or against written application.

The non-refundable fee of Ksh.1,000 is to be paid in cash at the Cash Office before 4pm on normal working days...,” a tender notice in the local dailies read.

The advert has raised doubt on whether the government is keen on cutting on its expenditure even as debates of 'punguza mzigo' referendum continue to pick momentum.

It has also sparked reactions on social media considering the high cost of living after Finance Bill 2018 which introduced new tax measures was approved.

Some of social media users had this to say:

"Will he hire his own choppers and pay himself??," AbalaKinyua wondered.

"Apewe tu..Tutazilipia kama kawaida...," said @LeilaAbubakar10.

"Those Aircrafts to be hired for his office, I am 100% sure are his very own and the hiring costs will be exaggerated," another twitter user ogotjohn added.
