Vera Sidika explains how she acquired millions from her sponsor

Socialite turned businesswoman, Vera Sidika has revealed how she saved millions of shillings from her first sponsor back in college days.

“He was in a situation where he was divorced, he was also older than me. He treated me so well and did a lot of thing for me but he did not like the fact

that I was in the modelling industry and hustling here and there working,” Vera told a Tanzanian media house when asked why she preferred to date older men.

She went ahead to explain how her journey has been a fascinating one.

"I left Mombasa for Nairobi. It is a big city and the culture is different from that in Mombasa.

Life is fast paced. I joined the modelling industry as I studied at Kenyatta University. During the holidays, I would go back to Mombasa. "

She explained how at one of one of the beach parties she met a man who adored her.

"We talked, he liked me and we kept in touch. He lived in Nairobi at the time, I did not know that he was a prominent businessman,” she said.

The owner a of beauty parlor in Westlands also said that the unnamed tycoon overwhelmed her with a lot of money and extravagant gifts.

She confesses she had never seen such huge amount of money before.

"He would give me money for shopping. To say the truth, I had never seen so much money in my entire life!
He would give me money and it would shock me," she said during the interview.

Vera also said unlike most of college girls who always spent their money to the last coin, she was different.
She wanted to save because she knew the relationship would not last forever.

"Every Friday, for one and half years we dated, I would go to the bank and deposit the money he had given me,” she added.
