Wanyama and Olunga may miss Ethiopia match
Victor Wanyama and Michael Olunga could miss in a crucial match of the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers between Kenya and Ethiopia due to financial constraints.
Harambee Stars whitewashed Ghana in an historic 1-0 triumph in Kasarani stadium on September 8.
They are now looking forward to whipping Ethiopia’s Walya Antelopes at an away match to be in a good position to qualify for next year’s tournament which will be held in Cameroon.
The match between the two neighbours will be on October 10 at Bahir Dar Stadium in Bahir Dar which has a capacity of 60,000.
The government was by Tuesday evening yet to dispatch tickets for the 14 foreign-based players, According to a Nation Sport.
Football Kenya Federation’s media officer, Barry Otieno said “We are still in talks with government officials and we hope to have the tickets dispatched to the players.
Our hope is to have the tickets by Friday.”
Sports PS Kirimi Kaberia assured that all the players called up will be available for the match.
